Turning an awkward to maintain area into a fun area for kids

This school in Basildon, Essex asked us back to fit grass in another hard to maintain area.

We needed to remove 15 tonnes of grass and top soil before putting down the aggregates and over 100 metres of fixing timbers. This allowed us to create a surface that looked good and could withstand the wear and tear of children playing on it.

The grass fitted was the Outfield. This is a great looking but extremely hard wearing product that has a relatively short 25 mm pile. We added sand to it to make it as durable as possible.

Another successful job completed.
