The Brief:
This large garden in Chislehurst, London required a suitable surface for a circular area that linked the tennis court with the knot garden. Grass had been tried but it refused to grow as so little light got in. The alternative solution for the owners was to try artificial grass. They were keen on having a grass that looked as realistic as possible and was in keeping with the rest of the garden areas.
Our Work:
We took out the existing grass and 4 inches of soil. The area then had 4 inches of Type 1 added. Fixing posts were fitted around the perimeter of the area and a final layer of granite dust was compacted in on top. We then securely fitted the Heath artificial grass. A great solution to a shady little area where grass wouldn’t grow.
