The Brief:
This back garden in a Victorian property in Catford, London lacked the wow factor. Because the existing plum slate garden flooring used a dark slate it made the garden look small and bleak. We believe plum slate is better suited to garden borders, pathways, rockeries, plant containers and garden surrounds. Used solely as a garden flooring it generally doesn’t work.
The owners gave us a simple remit;
Brighten up the garden by replacing the plum slate with our finest artificial grass.
Our Work:
To begin with we removed the plum slate and dug down 3 inches. We then prepared the area by inserting our fixings, wooden timbers, membrane, type 1 and a top layer of granite dust.
Finally we fitted the Grange artificial grass product. The garden area was instantly transformed. The new artificial grass was soft and comfortable to walk bare foot on, it added some much needed colour and generally brightened up the whole garden. The owners were delighted with the change!
