Removing grass and topsoil to prepare the groundworks

The Brief:

This 60 square metre lawn in Welling, London needed replacing with artificial grass.

Our Work:

To provide suitable groundworks we took out 7 cubic tonnes of top soil and grass (which you can see has been placed in the skip in the photo). We then then replaced it with the equivalent mixed aggregates. We have seen many companies who just scrape off an inch of soil and chuck a bit of sand down. But because we want our grass to be secure in place for as long as possible we do it right.
