The Work:
This was the first time we were asked to install artificial grass in the grounds of a stately home. On this occasion in the beautiful village of Lamberhurst in Kent. The owner, a very successful businessman wanted an area for his children to play sport in when the property was in use.
The space was partially prepared for us. It had been dug out, sleepers had been set around the surrounds, fences, floodlights and 40 tonnes of Type 3 stone added.
We put down 30 tonnes of aggregates before hand screeding the surface with string lines so it was 100% level. The grass fitted was the Meadow 30 pu for it is not only hard wearing but also recyclable.
