Installing Artificial Grass in Chafford Hundred

The Brief:

The owner of this property in Chafford Hundred, Essex was not a gardener. He preferred to spend his spare time with his family. We had installed artificial grass for him 5 years ago in a property 2 doors down from his current place. Taking a peek at that install we could see the grass was still in great condition. This is why we are regularly asked back by customers to install grass for them again. This time he wanted his entire garden covered in artificial grass to minimise any gardening. This mean’t no flower gardens or borders.

Our Work:

To prepare the groundworks we started by removing 10 tonnes of soil and turf with a mini digger. A whopping 22 tonnes of Type 1 and 5 tonnes of granite dust were added to create solid foundations on which we could install the grass. With this much sub base we can be sure the grass will not sink!

To get a nice finish right up to the fencing we concreted in timber fixings all round the perimeter. We could then securely attach the Outfield artificial grass product to them. The owner chose the Outfield for its hardwearing qualities and its fantastic, realistic looks.
