A great garden lawn edging idea in Bexley

The Brief:

This back garden lawn in Bexley, London had a patio at one level, a path at one level and some shabby grass at another. In order to create a better flow to the back garden we needed to raise the level of the path and install artificial grass to this same level. We also had a great garden edging idea that would complete the look of this area.

This was now the fifth installation we had done in Bradbourne Road in Bexley so we needed to make sure this job was done perfectly.

Our Work:

On my advice the owner raised the path up to the same height as the patio. We then added over 7 tonnes of aggregates to raise the level of the lawn to this same level. We set fixing timbers below the lip of the path and patio making sure to leave a gap down the back. This gap allowed us to implement our garden lawn edging idea. As opposed to just cutting the grass and leaving part of the latex backing on show against the path we are able to tuck the grass down creating a knuckle effect. As you can see from the photo the garden now flows beautifully and there is no latex on show against the path or patio.

A great job successfully completed. I’m sure we will be back to do more gardens on this road very soon.
