Another professional artificial grass install

This project that we undertook in Beckenham, Kent shows the great detail and effort that goes into a professional artificial grass install.

We concreted in some old railway sleepers to create the desired shape of the lawn before removing 3 inches of turf and top soil with our mini digger

5 tonnes of compacted Type 1 followed by layers of granite dust create the perfect base. This will be free draining but rock solid so the grass does not sink.

There are so many companies not using Type 1 because the ground is hard at the moment. It won’t be in the winter!

We integrated 2 old patios into the sub base and dug out around them before laying down our membrane. Our 2″ by 3″ treated timbers were carefully concreted into place to be able to tuck and fix the grass too.

The Knoll artificial turf grass is fitted  and then lightly sanded and power brushed.
