Ben Ainsley Racing (BAR) company was set up in 2013 with the aim of winning the America’s Cup.
As part of the project a new America’s Cup HQ is being built in Portsmouth, due for completion in the summer of 2015. Seen amongst many as being the most advanced head quarters ever built for the America’s Cup, it will be the main site where the team’s boats will be designed and constructed and will also provide sports science and fitness facilities. A gym was built, so the sailing team could fit training sessions into busy days. As part of the interior design to the gym Perfect Grass Ltd were delighted that BAR chose our commercial artificial grass. Local installation company South Coat Grass, based in Hampshire installed the grass.
Gavin Hall, owner of Perfect Grass Ltd said “We hope it creates the perfect environment in which the team can train and results in bringing the Cup home to Britain.”
